GROUP RUNNING SESSIONS

Running training focussed on having fun and improving performance

Running Fix group sessions cater for runners of all ages and ability levels. Please come along and join us for a run!

 

Training with a group has many benefits, including:

- being held accountable, both regarding attendance and performance at training

- improved motivation and drive

- social engagement and life-long friendships with likeminded people

- feedback on running technique and performance

 

Joining the Running Fix sessions will help you to improve your running technique, efficiency and performance over the long-term. Training will be prescribed to the group with a general focus in mind, but will be adapted to suit the ability, experience and upcoming goals of each athlete. Whether you're just starting your running journey, or a seasoned campaigner, whether you are still walk/running or plodding, or you are performance driven and striving for your next PB, anyone and everyone is welcome to the group. 

 

Learning and practicing good running technique will be a focus during sessions.

Everyone can benefit because running with good form is not only key to improving run efficiency, but also to gaining more enjoyment from training, and reducing injury risk. 

 

Pace judgement and improved performance (getting faster!) will be another focus.

The sessions will vary from week to week, but will generally have a speed/threshold element. Speed is relative for everyone, so don't be afraid - you don't have to be fast to join in. The sessions are about learning how to push and how to pace yourself more effectively for your specific event or fitness goal. 

Group Session Pricing

Casual Runner - per session = $10 

Consistent Runner - 10 session pass = $70 

There is no charge for athletes training on a personalised program with Running Fix

 
DUTTON PARK 
Wednesday Morning

5:30am Start

Meet in the lower carpark on TJ Memorial Drive (right-hand side carpark if you're heading down the hill)

Please arrive in plenty of time, and be ready to start the warm up at 5:30am

Sessions are run from the meeting point, along the Brisbane Corso, or across the Eleanor Schonell Bridge at University of Queensland

The session is finished by 6:30am

CAPLABA
Thursday Morning

5:30am Start

Meet in the Capalaba Regional Park carpark, Pittwin Road North, Capalaba (Capalaba Parkrun location)

Please arrive in plenty of time, and be ready to start the warm up at 5:30am

Sessions are run from the meeting point, around Capalaba Regional Park, or behind the Capalaba Football Grounds

The session is finished by 6:30am
